Aquarium

An iteration of Seeds & Fruit

Presented as part of Dancing in the Streets: Thresholds
Curated by Tunde Olaniran
Flint Institute of Arts, 2026

Aquarium is an early iteration of Seeds & Fruit, an ongoing choreographic offering.

Presented within the galleries of the Flint Institute of Arts as part of Dancing in the Streets: Thresholds, the performance explored many of the questions that would later expand into the full length work. Through tap dance, improvisation, live sound, water, and libations, Aquarium considered the relationship between environment, adaptation, and transformation.

Rather than a preview of the larger offering, Aquarium was an opportunity to investigate the material from a different vantage point. Presented in conversation with visual art, the performance invited audiences into an intimate encounter with rhythm, presence, and process.
